Structural Decomposition of Sentences

[ Overview | Participants ]

Overview:

The structure of sentences gives us information about relations between the entities and their attributes. In this project, we aim to uncover such relations and generate new sentences that represent them. Existing resources allows us to uncover the hidden structure in the form of full parse trees. Moreover, the phrase structure of a sentence can be further annotated with other resources like the named entity recognition system. The goal of this project is to use this structure to decompose sentences into smaller ones, each of which represent an implicit relation between elements of the sentence.
